ay minus 1: of our Adventure in Belgium started while we were still in Detroit with FedEx picking up our pallet of our belongings. This was it, no turning back now. All of our stuff was going on the slow boat to Belgium; hopefully we will see it next week.D-Day: Left our house, some tears but our favorite Metrocar driver picked
our spirits up! We arrived at the airport, relaxed, made a few phone calls and had to see one more person before we left...The last Michigander seen was none other than the motor city kitty himself - Rob. Thanks Rob for the drinks and food before we headed on the plane!!
Christian is getting good at missing trains and upon arrival in Paris we were greeted with a line out the door at the ticket counter...the minutes ticked by and next thing you know, we were enjoying the friendly (and somewhat smelly) confines of Paris CDG train station for the next three hours!!
Battered, but not beaten and after a 21 hour journey, we arrived at our hotel and settled into a pleasant evening of Italian food and a comfy bed! Better days ahead for sure.
