Sunday's in Belgium

So what do you do in Belgium on Sundays? Good question; we have finally figured it out - Relax!

After our weekly trip to the local market to pick up fresh cheese, fruits and vegetables; we decided it would be best given the surprisingly good weather to go on a picnic at the local park.

Fighting back red ants and dodging the dog poop we settled in nicely on our comfortable Tornto Maple Leafs blanket - knowing that nobody in Belgium would make fun of us for supporting the mighty (pathetic) blue and white. So there we were pond side enjoying our sandwiches of Gouda and Swiss cheese - but with a taste of home courtesy of Nacho Cheese Doritos.

Due to Christian's short attention span - our picnic lastest 12 minutes before he was back to work (as I have evidence shown in this picture!!)

Today the weather was excellent, food was fantastic and the company was better than both (aren't we cute!) Here's too extending the European Sunday tradition to all of you back home.

Cheers!

So the reason why I love this blog...it without fail makes me laugh out loud as I'm winding down for the night about to read and makes my husband walk in here to figure out what the hell is so funny that I'm waking up the neighbors. This lol moment is dedicated to Christian's incredible ability to present himself as a gay frenchmen enjoying grapes on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The only thing missing to make it a perfectly disgusting picture is the substitute the leafs blanket for the habs....

missing you both
